Our Commitment to Health

We take several steps to ensure that each puppy is in optimal health before they leave our care:

• Comprehensive Health Screenings: All parent dogs undergo thorough health screenings, including genetic testing for common hereditary conditions such as hip dysplasia, heart issues, and thyroid problems. This helps us ensure that only the healthiest dogs are bred.
• Veterinary Care: Our puppies receive regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and deworming treatments from birth. They are examined by a licensed veterinarian to ensure they are healthy and free of any detectable congenital issues.
• Proper Nutrition: We provide a balanced diet tailored to the nutritional needs of growing Great Danes, which supports their overall health and development.

Health Guarantee Details

BS Great Dane Puppies offers a detailed health guarantee to provide peace of mind for new puppy owners. This guarantee covers the following:

Initial Health Guarantee

• 72-Hour Health Check: We require that new owners have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking them home. If any health issues are discovered during this initial exam, you must notify us immediately.
• Refund or Replacement: If the veterinarian documents any life-threatening health issues, we will offer a full refund or replacement puppy if available. The original puppy must be returned before a replacement is provided.

Extended Health Guarantee

• Genetic Conditions: We offer a one-year guarantee against life-threatening genetic defects. If a genetic condition is diagnosed within the first year that affects the puppy’s quality of life, we will provide a replacement puppy of equal value, upon receipt of a detailed diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian. The affected puppy must be returned.
• Hip Dysplasia: We provide a two-year guarantee against severe hip dysplasia. If diagnosed, and surgery is recommended by a licensed veterinarian, we will offer a replacement puppy, provided that the original puppy is returned.

Conditions and Requirements

• Veterinary Care: To remain eligible for our health guarantee, puppies must receive regular veterinary care and up-to-date vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian.
• Diet and Exercise: Puppies must be fed a high-quality diet suitable for large breeds and should not be engaged in strenuous activities that could harm their joints, especially during their growth phases.
• Documentation: Any claims made under our health guarantee must be accompanied by a detailed written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian, including all relevant test results and documentation.

Exclusions

Our health guarantee does not cover:

• Minor ailments: Minor illnesses such as colds, giardia, or coccidia, which are common and treatable.
• Injuries or accidents: Any health issues resulting from injury or accidents after the puppy has left our care.
• Neglect or improper care: Health issues arising from neglect, mistreatment, or improper care (e.g., improper diet, lack of veterinary care).

How to Make a Claim

To make a claim under our health guarantee, please follow these steps:

1. Immediate Contact: Contact us as soon as any health issue is detected by your veterinarian.
2. Diagnosis Submission: Provide a written diagnosis from your veterinarian, including all relevant test results and documentation.
3. Evaluation: Our team will review the documentation. If a genetic or severe issue covered by our guarantee is confirmed, we will arrange for a replacement puppy or a refund as per the guarantee terms.
